Feyenoord keep pressing even when it is not working, and that leaves space behind their defence to hit.
“Feyenoord bleef volgens de trainer echter druk zetten, waardoor Telstar mogelijkheden kreeg om de ruimte achter de verdediging te benutten.”According to the coach, Feyenoord kept pressing, which gave Telstar chances to use the space behind the defence. our translation
Feyenoord insist on passing out from the back, even away at the big sides.
“Si algo tienen claro los de ‘Gio’ es que todo pasa por salir bien con la pelota desde atrás.”If there is one thing Gio's side are clear about, it is that everything goes through playing the ball out well from the back. our translation
Watch the clock with Feyenoord. They have been starting games well and then letting them slip after about an hour — twice already this season they were on top early and ended up dropping points.
“Feyenoord begon de eerste wedstrijden van het seizoen sterk, maar verloor na rust de grip tegen Sparta en Go Ahead.”Feyenoord started the first matches of the season strongly, but lost their grip on the game after half time against Sparta and Go Ahead. our translation
Leipzig do most of their defending a long way from their own goal.
“Their defensive activity takes place relatively far from their own goal.”New coach, new tempo. Leipzig want the ball but they also want to win it back fast and go straight for goal the moment they do.
“The former Bayern defender wants RB to play with intensity, aggressive pressing and quick vertical attacks after turnovers without surrendering possession and control entirely.”One midfielder stays home; the other two sprint past the striker into the box. Both full-backs push right up the touchline, and the second the ball is lost everyone piles in to get it back.
“Demichelis took the same positional six, the same adventurous eights, the same aggressive full-backs and the same immediate transition pressure into his first competitive match.”
