PSG press high and Sl. Bratislava insist on playing out through it. Expect the ball lost in dangerous places.
Expect at least one player in a position he does not normally play. Luis Enrique changes the line-up and the shape from week to week, and not every experiment works.
“Depuis son arrivée à la tête du PSG il y a trois ans maintenant, Luis Enrique n’a jamais caché son amour pour les coups tactiques et les expérimentations.”Since he arrived at the head of PSG three years ago now, Luis Enrique has never hidden his love of tactical gambles and experiments. our translation
When they have the ball a full-back tucks inside so the back line looks like three, not four. Early this season that has left the space behind their left side open.
“Dans un système hybride qui ressemblait à une défense à trois sans ballon, tout le couloir gauche parisien a été exposé et a souffert face au duo Santos-Mbappé.”In a hybrid system that looked like a back three without the ball, the whole of Paris's left flank was exposed and suffered against the Santos-Mbappé pairing. our translation
They try to win the ball back the moment they lose it, high up the pitch. A side with calm passers in midfield can play through that press, and Luis Enrique says so himself.
“On a eu des difficultés pour presser parce que Lille a beaucoup de joueurs de qualités comme André, Bentaleb ou Haraldsson”We had trouble pressing because Lille have a lot of quality players like André, Bentaleb or Haraldsson our translation
They got through to the Champions League, but they were not the better team doing it — their football in the deciding tie was ragged and they needed luck.
“Jeho herný prejav v Slovinsku kríval na obe nohy. Všetci sme čakali niečo lepšie.”Its display in Slovenia limped on both legs. We had all expected something better. our translation
Yaya Touré keeps changing the eleven, and he throws in teenagers from the club's own academy. Do not assume the players you saw last time will start.
“Fanúšik Slovana sa zároveň môže pravidelne tešiť na novú tvár v zostave, ktorej dá Yaya Touré priestor ukázať sa a presvedčiť o svojich kvalitách.”At the same time, a Slovan fan can regularly look forward to a new face in the line-up, to whom Yaya Touré gives room to show himself and prove his qualities. our translation
At home in Slovakia they simply take over the middle of the pitch and the opposition end up watching. They miss a lot of what they make, though.
“Hostia herne dominovali, ovládli stred poľa a spálili ďalšie množstvo obrovských šancí.”The visitors dominated the game, controlled midfield and burned through yet more huge chances. our translation
