Dambrauskas has Sabah pressing high even in Europe, and Viking drill passing moves into the gaps between the lines.
“Yıllarca Avrupa maçlarında kabuğuna çekilerek oynamaya alışkın bir futbol kültürünü yerle bir edip; cesur, önde basan ve hücumu düşünen dominant bir kimlik inşa etti.”He tore down a football culture used to retreating into its shell in European matches for years, and built a brave, dominant identity that presses high and thinks about attacking. our translation

“Morten Jensen and Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim have focused on developing possession patterns to conquer half-spaces and dynamise attacks from there.”Sabah pass out patiently and go sideways if nothing is on. Viking are quick to break when they win it.
“In possession, Sabah look to control the game through patient build-up play, using rotations to create space and find players between the lines.”“Nach Ballgewinnen schalteten sie schnell um, was immer wieder für Gefahrenmomente sorgte.”After winning the ball they switched quickly into attack, which kept creating dangerous moments. our translation
Viking's squad is valued at €56m, Sabah FK's at €19m: about three times as much. Gaps like that tend to settle games rather than make contests.
Viking are slight favourites and come straight at you from kick-off, so do not be late for this one. They do not chase the ball the same way all game, so watch how far up the pitch they start each spell. Sabah are big, physical and awkward to break down, and if they score, there is a fair chance it starts from a corner. Viking have two men in charge on the touchline, Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen, as equal head coaches.
“Viking prøvde, ikke uventet, å gå direkte i strupen på Dinamo Zagreb fra avspark.”Viking tried, not unexpectedly, to go straight for Dinamo Zagreb's throat from kick-off. our translation

“Vi må også klare å variere presshøyden, som vi var veldig gode på sist.”We also have to manage to vary how high we press, which we were very good at last time. our translation

“Without the ball, they are a physically strong team who are difficult to break down, while their aerial presence makes them a threat from attacking set pieces.”“I praksis styrer dei skuta saman, noko som er veldig sjeldan.”In practice they steer the ship together, which is very rare. our translation
Slavia's coach compared Sabah to Barcelona: they want the ball under control, get it wide and try to dribble past you.
“Chtějí mít míč pod kontrolou, dostat se do stran a prosadit se driblinkem.”They want to have the ball under control, get out wide and beat people with dribbling. our translation
